My boyfriend and I are relocating to Miami. Bottom line: We can cover any initial deposits, but we only have 00/month to spend on an apartment/place to live. We are completely flexible– any location is great for us, as long as it’s SAFE.
Any suggestions on where we could stay in Miami on a budget? Any rental agencies that might help people on a budget? Any dangerous areas to avoid?? We both have Masters and significant job experience, so we’ll be able to find work– we just need a (very) affordable place for the first six months to a year.

Thank you for the very good advice– we’re aware of these very real risks, and that this should be done as carefully as possible. We have several "back up" plans in line, and are applying for jobs now (we’ve each had a few hits, and are excited to get to the city for interviews). My boyfriend lived in Miami for some time a few years ago as well, but we’re assuming the city has changed a bit since then. We’re just trying to get as much info as possible! Any other responses on potential/safe places (or just general advice) for living on a budget would be much appreciated!

For my 21st birthday i am planning a 4 day cruise out of Miami to the Caribbean . It will be me and 3 or 4 of my single friends. The prices are decent for those times but what i want to know is do many other young people travel around that time. We want to have a good time and party it up but i fear there might not be many young people traveling around that time. What do you guys think?
